About 3,500 REALTORS® from across the state came to Austin this week to participate in REALTOR® Day at the Texas Capitol. The day kicked off with a rally on the south steps of the Texas Capitol, followed by members attending 178 meetings with state legislators to promote the public policy issues of Texas REALTORS®. (Download those positions here.)
The Texas House and Texas Senate each passed a resolution declaring March 22, 2023 to be REALTOR® Day at the Texas Capitol. In the galleries of both chambers, REALTORS® dressed in purple cheered—Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick was even wearing his REALTOR® tie as he recognized the association.
When they weren’t meeting with their legislators, REALTORS® toured the Texas REALTORS® building, enjoyed a barbecue lunch, and met with association staff.

It was a great day! Missed the readings of the resolutions due to other meeting with legislators. If you didn’t attend, you missed out on what happens at the Capitol when REALTORS invade.
Agree wholeheartedly, it was fantastic to see that many TEXAS REALTORS getting involved. If you have never been, you really, really, really need to make a point to go. You just can’t imagine how much your elected officials appreciate you.
Berts BBQ was wonderful as always, how they do that many people that quickly always amazes me. Thanks Texas REALTOR Staff…you are the best!!!
